When Will The Playstation Network Be Back Up? This is a good question. The Playstation Network went down on Friday April 22nd and is still down, this is the update directly from the Playstation Network website;
“We sincerely regret that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been suspended, and we are working around the clock to bring them both back online. Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. Though this task is time-consuming, we decided it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security.
We thank you for your patience to date and ask for a little more while we move towards completion of this project. We will continue to give you updates as they become available.” (Playstation Network News)
The last update was on Saturday April 23rd and Playstation people are working on the problem to make their system better. If you are a online game you know they need to do a ton of work to get rid of all of the problems with their online gaming. They are also likely working on problems they received in their system from the Anonymous group of hackers who deny having anything to do with this situation.
When I get more updates, I will add them to this and keep you up to date with what the Sony Playstation Network people are and are not doing. Just like you, my fingers are twitching and I am hoping and waiting to play Black ops once again on the Playstation Network. As far as the Playstation situation is concerned, no news is bad news for all of us who are online gamers. I’m hoping for another update sometime today.
The big question I have is will we start from the beginning on all of our online games once Sony fixes their Playstation Network. Get ready to go from Prestige seven or eight on Black Ops back to the bottom of the list. You know it will happen and I know it will happen. Keep coming back here for the latest updates and cross your twitching fingers, maybe we will be playing online games again today, tomorrow or in a few days. Come on Sony, get your act together.

“On Monday, the Japanese electronics giant said it is keeping its PlayStation Network videogame service offline indefinitely following a hacking attack it now says may have compromised user’s information.” (The Wall Street Journal)
This is bad news for online gamers because even Sony does not have any information about when and if the Playstation Network will be back online. This is the time that online gamers need to say Bah Hum Bug!
